BRIEF
SOCIALMEDIA POSTS
I was tasked with creating a series of social posts to promote the writing collaboration between the publishers and Kings College London.
This was a series of posts, one to announce the competition and a second post to give information on how to submit their manuscript to the competition.
IDEATION
As the post was promoting a writing competition, I created an illustration of a person writing on a desk, with the second slide being the continuation of the desk.
My hope with this concept was to evoke images in the minds of the students of them writing their own works at home.

The colour pallet use of purple and yellow are obviously complementary colours (to create a visual distinction between the character and content information).
But, It also represents a specific aspect of the KCL colour pallet, the lilac chosen is similar to their "student life" campaign. With this being a student writing competition, I felt highlighting that brand identity was fitting for the project.
LAYOUT
I reformatted the post to a 1920x1080px story format to accompany the Instagram timeline post, this was to supply more avenues for people to view the content.
ANIMATED
I recreated the 1920x1080px format into an animated sequence.
