EMAIL MARKETING

As a designer at Armadillo my role was to assist on the creative design process for Email marketing content including, pitching and developing email content, developing the narrative, layout and designs of email campaigns and making and updating slices for build team.

BRIEF

I was briefed to generate an email design for the Disney Home brands August marketing email, which would introduce the Disney audience to new ranges across four companies who sell official Disney products.

IDEATION

In collaboration with another designer, we created a fully compact drop down interaction and a panelled example (Header, image, copy, CTA) with a GIF hero image. The feedback from the client, was to combine the 2 options. This is where I took over the project to combine the concepts into a template which was ready to insert copy.

SOLUTION

The final email used collapsible drop downs to organize the ranges into four categories.

Each range was displayed with a banner image, heading and body copy, which led into a display of the products and a CTA to the store’s Disney Home web page.

I also created a GIF image set for the Hero, using the Disney Home print guideline as inspiration, creating a looping animation.

REVIEW

I was proud of the end result and enjoyed working with the team to develop this email, most specifically in the drop down functionality which we were able to design.
This gave the user an engaging interactivity that demonstrated the ranges well, without their branding clashing .
